Morocco Gem: Riads And Guesthouses

Riads offer uniquely-designed guests rooms and breakfasts for travellers.
They are cheaper than hotels, and a lot of them include swimming pools, restaurants, and even spa services. When there are more than 6000 choices, which ones should you pick?

Riad les Orangers d’Alilia, Marrakech

Presenting you my favorite spot in this Riad: the rooftop!

Breakfast was more than we could ask for!

Room rate charged at around $70/night, this is definitely double thumbs up, without a doubt.

Auburge Chez Pierre, Aït Ouaddar, Morocco

It’s basically built on and across mountains. Great wide-open views:

Behind the mystical door on a front porch, where you can also stargaze at night…

is the bedroom as cozy as one can imagine:

It’s also got great spots, including an outdoor pool, to relax and chill:

Apart from a Moroccan style breakfast, a delicious French-Moroccan fusion dinner was also included in the room rate.

At just around $75 USD/night, do not turn away from this guesthouse!

Riad Anata, Fes

Totally fell for the Riad’s courtyard design:

The interior of our guest room, however, is distinctively different from the courtyard.

Finally feeling like we were in Africa!

Most of the time (including our complimentary breakfast), we hung out by the courtyard,
or the (once again) beautifully-designed rooftop:

It’s supposedly a 5-star Riad, so the price is at around $100USD/night.
Still a lot cheaper than the hotels at same range, don’t you think?

Riads are one of the characteristics in Morocco Tourism. They’re well-developed, and in my opinion, much better than hotels.
If you’re looking for an exotic Morocco adventure, make sure to book one of these!
